Treatment, Care and Support

NAPWA works to ensure an effective facilitation and provision of nutrition, treatment, care and support to the membership and affected people. NAPWA also provides counseling through support groups.

Advocacy and Human Rights

Through this programme NAPWA aims to increase knowledge of human rights to both the infected and affected to promote competent communities and families so that they can be able to exercise their rights.

1. PLHIV Mobilization

PLHIV are mobilized and recruited to join NAPWA support groups and branches for enhanced care and support and GIPA

1. HIV Prevention

NAPWA aims to make a significant contribution to the countries NSP goal of reducing new infections by 50% by 2011. Through activities like Men’s Workshops and International Men’s Day NAPWA works with men to fight HIV & AIDS and human rights violations.

1. Economic Empowerment

This is aimed at reducing poverty amongst PLHIV and increasing PLHIV household income. Support group members are engaged in various livelihood programmes and activities that will help them generate income to sustain themselves and their families.
